    Lowell Cleaver is a "Con Artist"; a real money hungry scammer! I forewarn anyone considering entering into a business contract or transaction with him to RUN AWAY and RUN AWAY QUICKLY! I contacted Mr. Cleaver about a property that he listed online in Desoto, Texas on Friday, June 30, 2017. (Which is still listed online as available for rent) I met with him on July 1st to see the property in which I liked and decided to move forward with paying the deposit and first month's rent to secure it. I received the keys on July 1st, that evening after paying the required 1400 deposit and 1000 of the 1400 for the first month's rent; the remaining 400 was paid the next following morning (July 2nd) along with 20 of the 75 dollars for the application fee, leaving a balance of 55 dollars which was paid today on July 8th. (Due to scheduling differences/conflicts, i.e. work and appointments). Mr. Cleaver comes over to the residence on July 2nd to collect the 400 dollars that was left to be paid for the first month's rent also bringing a guy along who is there to do yard maintenance. At this time I am headed off to work but have my children's father/ex-husband there at the house helping me move my things in. I also left the money with him to give to Mr. Cleaver being that I had to leave for work. The next day, I get off work that evening, check my voicemail and there's a message from Mr. Cleaver stating that we have a problem; saying how the guy that was there earlier is not on the lease and it's going to cost 100 dollars to add him to the lease. I called Mr. Cleaver to let him know that my children's father will not be living there and was only helping me out as well as picking up our kids. Mr. Cleaver lied and told me that my children's father TOLD HIM that he was going to be staying IN the home, WHICH WAS A LIE! I told Mr. Cleaver that I don't understand how or why he could of told him that when I hadn't even discussed anything along the lines of that with him myself. I called my children's father, asked him if he tell Mr. Cleaver that he was going to be living there and his response was what I expected it to be, NO! My ex husband is upset at this point and doesnt understand why this man would just lie and say that he told him that when he knows he didn't so he calls Mr. Cleaver himself. Mr. Cleaver then LIES on ME by telling him that I told him that he would be living there!! At this point I am in disbelief! I see what time it is; by the way, the neighbors on BOTH sides of me had already forewarned and informed me about him and told me all about his schemes and scandalous ways. My children's father continues to speak with Mr. Cleaver, letting him know that he doesn't live there, informing him of his address and letting him know that the most he would be at the property would be to watch the kids once a week or to pick them up and take them back to his place in Grand Prairie. Mr. Cleaver goes on to say that if he's going to watch our kids there at any time he would need to be on the lease. In the name of peace and under duress I agree to pay the 100 dollars to add him to the lease. My ex husband is furious and I am too! They carry on the conversation and everything seems to be ok at that point; An agreement is made that the additional 100 dollars would be paid next week for adding an another adult to the lease. Today July 8th rolls around. We finally are able to meet with each other (Mr. Cleaver and I) so he could get the remaining 55 dollars that was owed towards the application fee. He tells me that the rent will be increasing to 1500 dollars per month instead of the original 1400 that is in our lease agreement due to another adult being in the home! At this point, I see everything that my neighbors told me unfold right in front of my eyes! He was definitely out to get a dollar & as many as possible! What makes matters even worse is Mr. Cleaver stating that the additional adult's information would not be added to the lease! I will definitely be filing a complaint with TREC! They wonder why the youth RUN from the church! #ScamAlert
